Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts

The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts is located on the main campus of the Florida Institute of Technology (view map). The new building will open to the public August 29, 2009. The gallery will feature over 3,000 square feet in exhibit space and house textile artifacts and costume from all corners of the world.

Our generous benefactor, Ruth E. Funk, has enriched the university through her vision and philanthropy. In addition to her financial support that has helped make this space possible, she has given Florida Tech hundreds of books and a lifelong collection of textiles and wearable art.

Our goal is to preserve, maintain, display and interpret an international collection of textiles through public exhibitions and educational programs.
